Cholesterol and Alkaline water

Obesity is one of the major issues in today's world. Apart from cosmetic concerns, obesity has become the main cause of many diseases today. Cholesterol is one such disease that is caused by obesity. Contrary to common belief not all cholesterol is bad for our health. It can be both good and bad depending on what type of cholesterol it is.

It is essential to understand what cholesterol really is, how it affects our health, how it can be treated, the problems and diseases caused by cholesterol, how they can be tackled, and everything else that a person should know about something which is in abundant quantity in our bodies. There are two types of Cholesterol, namely HDL (high density lipoprotein) and LDL (low density lipoprotein).

HDL is the good form of Cholesterol as it protects us from having a heart attack or a stroke; the person who has a low level of HDL is likely to have a heart attack, practical measures should be taken by the person having a low HDL to improve his HDL level and lower his chances of having a heart attack.

LDL is the other type of Cholesterol which is commonly known as the bad form of Cholesterol, protein foods (meat, dairy products) are the main culprits in increasing heart disease risk and increasing LDL levels in our body. A high level of LDL adversely affects the most vital organ of our body, the heart. When there is too much circulation of LDL in our body it builds up on the wall of arteries which are supposed to feed our heart and brain, it forms a thick plaque which eventually results in blocking our arteries and slowing the blood circulation, this condition is known as atherosclerosis. This arterial plaque is very dangerous and one should take effective preventive measures to avoid this arterial plaque.

There are many factors which are not known to common people and are ignored by us in our daily lives, but all these factors can play a major role in creating a heart disease, one of these factors is triglyceride, which is a type of fat which is produced in our body through our diet, without realizing the level of cholesterol it may contain. Cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption and a high carbohydrate diet play a major role in having high triglyceride. People with high level of triglyceride in their system often have high cholesterol i.e. a high level of LDL (bad) cholesterol and a low level of HDL (good) cholesterol.

When the doctors say "Choose fat calories wisely, Eat a variety of protein foods, Limit cholesterol consumption" they also emphasize on getting regular bodily checkups. Having one checked regularly can potentially avoid major diseases since diseases can be identified before they get developed into severe health issues. Checking our cholesterol level regularly is extremely important as well, since it can help us identify what changes to make to live a healthier lifestyle. HDL and LDL levels can change dramatically over small portions of time.

Too much fat in our diets leads to deposition of cholesterol in our blood vessels which results in blocking the blood vessels, limiting the flow of the blood and eventually causing High blood pressure and other illnesses.

Ionized water is electrically charged with superior hydrating qualities. It neutralizes excess acidity and fights free radicals. Ionized alkaline water helps in lowering the high blood pressure and the cholesterol level. After 2 to 3 months of consumption the blood pressure can drop to a normal level. Alkaline water dissolves the thick plaque and cholesterol deposits clotting the arteries and normalizes the blood flow.
